These terms apply to your use of the website at quietstance.online, published by Milvelt Group s.r.o., Slavojova 579/9, Nusle, 128 00 Praha 2, Czech Republic, company registration 28056345, VAT number CZ28056345. By reading the site you accept them. If you do not, the remedy is simple: stop reading.
What this site is
Quiet Stance publishes an informational reading course. It is general material written for a wide audience, and it cannot take account of your household, your device, your budget or your circumstances. It is not professional advice of any kind — not legal, not financial, not technical, not security advice and not parenting advice — and you should not treat it as a substitute for advice from someone who knows your situation.
It is not accredited training. There is nothing to sign up for, no record is kept of anyone reading it, no assessment takes place and nothing is issued at the end. Any decision you make after reading it is yours.
Accuracy and change
The course is written carefully and reviewed, and the date of the last full review appears in the footer of every page. Even so, the subject moves. Games change their features, prices, terms and settings without notice; government guidance is rewritten; links move. Where the course describes anything about a product, treat the vendor's own current pages as authoritative and this site as a prompt to go and look. Where it describes rights or rules, treat the Australian body named as authoritative.
We may change, add to or remove any part of the site at any time, without notice.
Other people's websites
The course links to government bodies, to a vendor and, through paid affiliate links, to the destination described on the Affiliate Disclosure page. Those sites are operated by other organisations. We do not control their content, their availability, their terms or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of anything beyond the specific point it is cited for. Once you follow a link you are dealing with that organisation, not with us.
Trade marks
All brand names on Quiet Stance, Star Stable Online among them, are the property of their owners. Except for the paid affiliate links described on our funding page, none of those owners is affiliated with Quiet Stance, and none has endorsed or sponsored it.
Our own material
The text, checklists, layout and code of this site belong to Milvelt Group s.r.o. You are welcome to print the checklists and use them in your own household, and to quote short passages with attribution and a link. Republishing whole pages or the course as a whole requires our written permission.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Certain guarantees apply to goods and services supplied to consumers in Australia and cannot be contracted out of; where that is so, those guarantees prevail over anything written here.
Subject to that, the site is provided as it is. To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site, from anything happening on a site we link to, or from the site being unavailable. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the information again or to the reasonable cost of having it supplied again.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, where Milvelt Group s.r.o. is established, and the courts there have jurisdiction. This does not displace any protection available to you as a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law or under the mandatory law of the place where you live, and it does not prevent you from bringing a complaint to an Australian regulator.
