Quiet Stance

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 8 October 2026

This policy explains what happens to information about you in connection with the website at quietstance.online, and nothing else. The responsible entity is Milvelt Group s.r.o., Slavojova 579/9, Nusle, 128 00 Praha 2, Czech Republic, company registration 28056345, VAT number CZ28056345, contactable at info@quietstance.online. Where this policy says "we", it means Milvelt Group s.r.o.

Personal information is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, which the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner publishes at oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles. Because this site is simple, most of the thirteen principles have very little to do, and the honest thing is to say so principle by principle rather than to write around it. That is what the next thirteen sections do.

This policy covers quietstance.online only. The affiliate link published on this site leads to https://goradar.xyz/a/J63kwSKWLYtykAB, and that destination, the Star Stable Online website it leads to, and every other site linked from the course are operated by other organisations under their own privacy policies, which you should read if they matter to you.

APP 1 — Open and transparent management of personal information

This page is the whole of our documented approach, and it is published without a login or a download. The practices it describes are deliberately minimal: there is no database on this site, no form, no account and no analytics, so there is very little to manage. Questions about how it works can be sent to info@quietstance.online and are answered by a person.

APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity

You can read every page of this course without identifying yourself. Nothing asks for a name, and there is nothing to sign up for. If you email us, you may use a pseudonym or an address that does not identify you, and you will still get an answer. The one exception is a request for access to, or correction of, personal information: to deal with that we need enough information to be confident we are giving the right person the right records.

APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information

Two categories exist, and only two.

Server access logs. Our hosting provider, which may store data outside Australia, keeps the ordinary records a web server keeps when a page is requested: the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sent one, and the user-agent string identifying your browser and operating system.

Email you send us. If you write to info@quietstance.online, we hold your email address, any name you give, the content of your message and any attachment you include.

Nothing else is collected. There are no forms and no input fields anywhere on this site. There are no accounts and no logins. Nothing records your progress through the course, and the checklists do not remember which boxes you ticked. There are no cookies, no web fonts, no analytics, no advertising tags, no profiling and no cross-site tracking. The site requests nothing from any other server, so no third party learns that you visited by virtue of a page loading.

APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information

Sometimes an email arrives containing more than we need in order to reply — a document attached by mistake, or details about a third person. Where we could not lawfully have collected that information ourselves, and where it is lawful and reasonable to do so, it is destroyed or de-identified rather than kept.

APP 5 — Notification of the collection of personal information

This page is the notice. It names the entity, says what is collected, why, who holds it, how long it is kept and how to reach us. There is no separate collection notice elsewhere, because there is no other point of collection.

APP 6 — Use or disclosure of personal information

Access logs are used for three purposes: keeping the site secure, preventing and investigating abuse, and diagnosing faults. Email is used for one purpose: replying to you, and continuing that conversation.

Nothing is used for anything else. Personal information from this site is never sold, rented, traded or shared for marketing by anyone, and it is not used to build a profile of you. It is disclosed outside the two providers named below only where the law requires it — for example, in response to a valid order from a court or a regulator.

APP 7 — Direct marketing

We do not do direct marketing from this site. There is no mailing list and no newsletter, because there is no way to join one. You will not receive reminders to continue the course, promotional email, or any other unsolicited message as a result of reading these pages.

APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure of personal information

Two recipients exist. Our hosting provider holds the access logs, and our email service provider holds the mailbox. We have not named them here, and neither has been identified to us as holding your data in a particular country, so you should assume that both may store or process data outside Australia, including in countries whose privacy laws differ from Australian law. No other organisation receives personal information from this site.

APP 9 — Adoption, use or disclosure of government related identifiers

This principle has no application here. We do not adopt, use or disclose any government related identifier — no tax file number, Medicare number, driver licence number or similar — because we never ask for one and have no reason to hold one.

APP 10 — Quality of personal information

The only information we hold that could be wrong is what you have written to us yourself. If something in our correspondence with you is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete, tell us and we will correct it.

APP 11 — Security of personal information

The site is served over HTTPS. There is no database, no content management system and no store of submitted information, because nothing can be submitted. Access to the hosting account and to the mailbox is limited to people working for Milvelt Group s.r.o. who need it. Information is destroyed or de-identified when it is no longer needed for the purposes set out above. We make no claim to hold any certification or to comply with any standard beyond what is stated on this page.

APP 12 — Access to personal information

You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you. Email info@quietstance.online with "Privacy request" in the subject line. There is no charge for making a request, and we reply within 30 days. In practice a request will usually relate to earlier correspondence, since access logs are short-lived and are not indexed by person.

APP 13 — Correction of personal information

You may ask us to correct personal information we hold about you. Use the same address and the same subject line. We reply within 30 days, and if we decide not to make a correction we will tell you why and note your request on the record.

How long each category is kept

Server access logs are kept for 30 days and are then deleted or overwritten in the ordinary course. Email is kept for 24 months after the last message in the conversation, and is then deleted, unless it needs to be retained for the establishment, exercise or defence of a legal claim.

Affiliate links

This site carries paid affiliate links, explained in full on the Affiliate Disclosure page. When you click one, you leave quietstance.online. Star Stable Online and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies or use similar technology on their own sites to record that the referral came from here; that happens on their domains, under their own privacy policies, and we do not control it. We receive commission reports from the network. Those reports are used only to check that payments are correct, and we neither seek nor want information that would identify an individual reader within them.

Complaints

If you think your privacy has been mishandled in connection with this site, write to info@quietstance.online first. We will acknowledge your complaint and answer it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.

Data breaches

If we become aware of unauthorised access to, unauthorised disclosure of, or loss of personal information connected with this site, we assess it promptly. Where the incident is likely to result in serious harm, we notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at people under 16. Nothing on it collects information capable of identifying a child, because nothing on it collects information from anyone beyond the two categories described above. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, write to us and we will delete it.

If you are in the European Union, the EEA or the United Kingdom

Milvelt Group s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so European data protection law applies to its handling of personal data in addition to the Australian framework described above.

The legal basis for keeping server access logs is our legitimate interests in securing the site, preventing abuse and diagnosing faults. The legal basis for handling email is taking steps at your request and our legitimate interest in answering correspondence. There is no consent basis anywhere on this site, because there are no cookies and no other technology that would require consent.

You have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, portability of data you provided to us, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Use info@quietstance.online for any of these.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. For Milvelt Group s.r.o. that is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Czech Republic (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), uoou.gov.cz.

Changes to this policy

When this policy is revised, the effective date at the top is updated. Where a change is material, a short note saying so is shown at the top of this page for 30 days.
